Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators built specifically for remote work sites in Canada, offered in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. The units are configured to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements, and these specific models will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors.

All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, covering Canada's electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko describes the generators as carrying its latest technologies to deliver reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications, with hardware configured to the market and regulatory conditions Canadian contractors work under.

The 1200 kW model includes onboard 600V capability, which eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. According to Aggreko, the direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure — an advantage in large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.

"Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko," said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors, as the basis for Canadian demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. The Canadian Tier 4 Final generators pair Aggreko's latest technologies with hardware tailored to the requirements of operating in Canada, he said.

Deployment roles and fleet coverage

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units intended for rapid deployment where energy is needed immediately, while the 1200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The three additions extend Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which covers solutions from 25 kW to 1200 kW.

Through its network of Canadian service centres, Aggreko's energy experts work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power across a range of applications, the company said.

Aggreko states that all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The company points to Canada's expanding data centre industry as a particular fit: as provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, the Tier 4 Final generators are offered as off-grid energy that keeps facilities operational in a manner minimally disruptive to communities.
